Seat Memory Issue

Got another one for the experts:

My seat memory doesn't work. More accurately the function was deactivated by someone who pulled a harness plug under the seat.

I had a tech at Michael Stead Porsche look at it. He told me that if he plugs the harness back into the memory module the electric seat adjustments stop working. Take the harness out electric adjustments work again. Durametric indicates a fault in that the left and right mirror vertical and horizontal control is unplugged. Oddly, they work fine with the manual controller on the door sill (with the harness unplugged). Not that memory seating is a big deal to me, quite useless in this car IMO - although I lose the right hand dipping mirror function. But, wonder if someone has an explanation or fix.

I thought it amusing that the sales dude told me that the car was probably not meant to have the function and couldn't be fixed. Yeah, that's code for you are not high enough profit margin for us to bother with and you don't own a more interesting 911.
