Hmmm, my guess is that you haven't had the opportunity to drive a Boxster? Most people who actually drive them end up choosing them. In my opinion, there is no comparison between the two.

Whose information are you referring to when you say "your?"

OK, I'm confused. The title of your thread starts with "Question". But what you posted in the first post is a statement.
Anyway, I've driven both and I'll keep my Boxster. Plus the Boxster is easier to work on IMHO.
Don't be scared. Come on over to the dark side. ;)

Which motor is this? Also where is the noise coming from? More details might help.

i believe it is a 2.5 996. It sounds like a timeing chain in front of motor, but i diidn't run motor long i didn't want to damage motor. now i have motor out and ready to tear it down. I was haveing trouble finding manuel for totrque specs and tdc. any suggestions will help thks

Also when troblem occured i heard a snap, like a plastic gide for the timeing tensioner and there were no metal shavings in oil filter and the ims bearing was bad and i replaced it. Could it be the water pump? it is a stick 5 speed sounds like timing chain is slappen around
