Tiptronic Question

I have a 2002 Boxster S, 75000 miles. Now that it's getting colder i have a trouble with transmission hesitation? Slip? from second to third. It only does it when the engine/tranny are cold. Once up to temperature, it shifts normal. Could it be low fluid or a sticky solenoid? Any suggestions appreciated!!!!

I've noticed that as well on mine, where for example it will shift to 2nd gear at higher RPM than warm, and I believe that it is a consequence of the special "warming-up" program.
I usually never try to shift manually before reaching temperature.

I was starting to notice the same thing on my Tip and took it in early for the 90K maintenance. After fluid and filter change it was nice and tight again.

I changed fluid about 20,000 miles ago but not filter, guess its time to do a filter change and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the tip on the "tip" !

Did mine at 60K, fluid and filter and never a problem. At 85K now and plan on fluid change at 90 then filter and change again at 120. Porsche mechanic told me the recommended 90 or 100, can't remember now, was way to long. The ones he had seen come in at that mileage looked really bad. BTW good time to add some good magnets to the pan, in or out up to you. Also might be a good time to do the differential. PITA but you will have a lot out of the way when you do the trans with filter.
