options on bypassing immobilizer

I've been researching and trying to find out options on bypassing the immobilizer on a Boxster but no definite answers.

Appears the unit I have is fried and I would like to just cut it out of the loop.

Is programming the only answer? Who best to go to?

Sorry I'm Mr. low budget and any money save is more money toward a performance part.

Yes, it can be done with programming, but you need to find someone willing to do it as there is some potential liability involved. I think Pedro is doing it.

I can understand the liability, kind of funny on a car so old. Is there anyone more local to me. I'm in Orange County Ca.

I'd check in with Eric Oviatt at HRG.
