Engine dies when coming to a stop????

My 2001 Boxster 2.7 stick shift has started a random problem.

Coming up to a stop or red light the light engine would just die and the dash lights come on. Engine starts again first time and no engine check light.

I recently replaced a bad AOS and the burning oil stops coming up approx 100 miles ago.

Could the MAF be dirty?

Any help would be most helpful...

Pete

You said there wasn't a check engine light, but I'd still check it for codes. You could have a pending DTC.

Has this stalling when slowing to a stop been happening since the AOS swap 100 miles ago? Or did this just recently start?

It was trip out since the aos replacement. I took it for a long drive to burn the oil off from bad aos change.

Did you clean out the air intake, clean the MAF and clean the throttle body as part of the AOS swap?
