Oil filler tool cheat

Time to give back, even if it is a small bit of information.

I am in the process of repairing my AOS issue and all domino effect pieces parts that come along with it. Could not have done it without all the posts and info I have read here and other Forums.

I figured something out that really helped me and wanted to pass it on.

My work is all being done with engine/trans in car.

As we all know getting the middle oil filler tube out is tough and I dreaded doing it. I bought one of those craftsmen tools as suggested but when I was on my back it was hard to fish the end of the tool up to where the clamp is against the firewall.

What I ended up doing was taking a broken fishing rod I had and tape the wire part of the tool to it which enabled me to very easily put the end of the tool right against the clamp and literally in 30 seconds it was off.

Hope this helps.
