Just Replaced Suspension
I just replaced the tired old factory M030 springs and struts with ROW M030 springs and Bilstein sport shocks. After a quick drive here are my impressions: the ride height is actually slightly higher than the old setup. I attribute this mostly to the fact the all four old struts were blown. The suspension feels firmer, but not harsher: kind of hard to explain. The car does have more grip though and handles better for sure. Again, I attribute this mostly to the shocks. The free height of the springs and shocks appeared to be about the same to me. A spring compressor was not needed to install the rear springs.

Nice feedback.
Only thing is, not knowing what year/model and how many miles on the old suspension has left me wondering. |
