I need help with my 2001 Boxster S alarm. Lately every night the alarm on my Boxster S goes on .I turn it off by unlocking the car and stops than starts again, than I locking the the doors and stops. After doing this a few times than it stops. Does anybody has the same problem or knows how to fix it ?

May be something as simple as an insect trapped in the car setting off the motion detectors. You can get the system scanned, which will tell you what sensor is faulting, which should be helpful in determining how to stop it.

Thank you JFP. I booked an appointment at Porsche service to check it out. I didn't want to take the car there (will cost an arm and leg) was hoping somebody has an idea and I can fix it.
Cheers

Without the correct diagnostics tool (PIWIS, PWS II, or Durametric Pro system), you will spend hours chasing your tail trying to find one of these problems. The scanner takes about 2 sec. to pull up a list of the last ten alarm faults (things that tripped the alarm), and can even exercise the sensor in question to see how it behaves. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and take it to a pro...................
