9 volt back up battery?

Guys (and gals) I have forgotten so much that it isn't funny. Use it or lose it.
I see questions on the forums that I had the answers to right away at one point. Not so much any more.

So, did I use a 9v battery and connect it to a spot in the fuse box when removing my neg cable? I think I did but I can't find a thing about that.

plug it in cigarette lighter socket. Easiest way to go! Wally world or any car store will have the set up for under $10.

You can get a plug into the lighter & a 9volt battery connection on the other end at most auto parts stores. It saves your radio stations when you disconnect the battery.

My 2003 doesn't lose the station pre-sets or need a code reset if the battery is disconnected. I disconnect it all the time in winter to keep the battery from being drawn down. And my AGM battery easily goes 2 months without losing any charge (no battery tender needed) when disconnected.
