I have owned a 2001 Boxster S since 2002 - bought it from a Porsche dealer. After doing a major serviceabout $1200 at the dealer, 2 months out of warranty, the engine is dead. Dealer told me "tough luck" but it's out of warranty. I recently heard that Porsche had been replacing some 3.2L motors that were out of warranty, but that program has stopped like my motor. Was I eligible for that program and just didn't get that info from my dealer???

I am not sure what is covered on your vehicle. My suggestion is to call a different Porsche dealer, ask then to run your VIN and see what the warranty is or was on the vehicle. If you are close to the mileage or time, you may be able to get them to honor it.
