Good to be back! Let the questions begin!

After going from my 98 boxster to a Honda 750 Aero then to a Mustang GT convertible, I'm finally back where I belong. Just picked up my 2000 Boxster.

So now the questions begin.

A) the new car has no OBC or Cruise. The temp is displayed, so I'm assuming the OBC has been activated. I've found a 4 stalk switch from a 1999 boxster. I seem to recall that it's not a huge job to install both the OBC function and the cruise function. Is this in fact the case, and can the average Joe do it?

B) The turn signal doesn't cancel when making a left turn, but will not stay on when making a right turn? Seem like a switch problem?

Just maybe I can kill 3 birds with ont stone?
