hi, I've got a 2007, 987 manual 2.7 boxster. I'm having trouble at the minute on startup its just had a new modified crankshaft pulley but not sure if this is the problem. when idle or accellerating medium to hard accelleration there is a juddering noise predominently from teh right hand side of the engine that sounds like its catching on something. to be more specific the noise sounds like sticking paper in a fan. it goes when being driven on motorway or smooth slow acccelleration, problem occurs when idle or accellerating, the harder i accellerate the louder it gets especially in the lower gears. any ideas? - not like having cracked ignition coils as the car doesnt vibrate or anything

Remove the drive belt and idle the engine (only for a short time), is the noise gone?I would inspect the exhaust for a broken baffle as well.
