I've had trouble with my '98 boxster top since I bought it a year ago. I've updated the transmissions and got the linkages set, but the top light stays on and with the top down the windows don't go up fully. I checked the micro-switches and they seemed okay, so I replaced the control module when the top was down, and the light went out and the windows went up. But when I put the top up everything returned to the old problems-top up or down. Any suggestions? There was some mouse damage to wires in the trunk. Do I need to buy the Porsche tester to diagnose it?

Check the microswitches in the windshield latches. If they are not in the correct position, this will happen.
