Hi there ! I have Todd Holyoaks 3.8 conversion 2001 Boxster. Has manual trans. I need to swap this into a 2001 tiptronic trans car circumstance of left and right hand drive cars here in Thailand No one has imported a manual shift as Thais like automatics, so I'm limited in local cars for sale and they all have tiptronic. What later tiptronic trans should I use,so it will hold the torque, hp, etc and will it bolt up and what brain will I need for it ? Thanks for your help...best, Mac

You should be able to use one from a 2004 or 2005. I would grab the lowest mileage one you can find. As far as the swap, you will need the DME and TCM at the minimum, plus the wiring harness.

Thanks much, Nick. I have my DME (7.8) with the 3.8 Carrera S motor. TCM will be from a 2004, so should work OK ? best, Mac
