drive axle nut

passenger side broke free, drivers side broke my breaker bar and still hasn't budged..
is there any special trick to removing the 26 mm center nut on the drivers side??? still is right tighty /lefty loosey, isn't it???

It is right handed, but torqued to 340 ft. lbs., which requires more than a bit of grunt.

Hit it with some penetrating oil, let it sit and then have at it with the biggest breaker bar you can find, or a 1" impact gun.

jfp- you keep saving my bacon!!yes- had to put an steel pipe extension tube on the breaker bar to get more leverage, and finally the passenger side freed up- even that bent the steel pipe !! Will get a new breaker bar tomorrow- all things around here closed. starter is out Am pulling the spark plugs now to make rotating the crankshaft easier.. when I get those out, am liable to give the impact gun a shot at it...hit it with wd40, deep creep, and pb blaster- maybe one of them will seep through!!
Heck- if I keep fooling around here- I'll have a transmission dropped!!!looks like prime time to do the aos as well- and then will cross the IMS bridge when I get to it...remarkably, have barely make a dent in my 4 letter words vocabulary!!!!
