2000 Boxster S on Autotrader?

Cars for Sale: 2000 Porsche Boxster S in Duluth, GA 30096: Convertible Details - 392871352 - AutoTrader.com

What am I missing here? I am looking for a cheap Porsche to drive while my wrecked 911 is being rebuilt. I'm familiar with the basics of the IMS issues of the 986, but that's about the extent of my Boxster knowledge.

This one is not too far away from me, but I need to know what to look for before I get there. Any suggestions?

I don't think you are missing anything. That's a great price for an S and if it's like my 2000 Boxster, it has the double row IMS bearing. The top looks in good shape with normal wear in the cab. I would test drive it, if that goes well have a PPI, and if that goes well, buy it.

Good price. Buying a 14 year old 100k plus car is a crapshoot. Some go 250k. But at that age and miles things do start needing replacement. It isn't difficult to find parts. Just expensive.

Thanks, guys. If it's still there when I can get there, I'll take a look.
