Problem with clamshell , roof goes up and down ok and is alignment , however when operating roof , noticed clamshell is higher on left side than right all the way , ok when roof is up clamshell closes and aligns , but when roof down clamshell sits about 10mm higher on left , windows don't return either , have to do it manually , only had car 1 week 2004 boxster s, any ideas ?

Congratulations on your new car! The windows don't return on the Boxster, only the Carrera. As for the clamshell alignment this is common on cars that have had a problem in the past, the lid itself could be bent, OR you may have a problem where the left side cable is going bad and the top doesn't actually go all the way down. Check and see if the clamshell is getting held up by the top or if it is sticking up on its own. If held up by the top you will need to investigate why that side of the top doesn't fully go down. If it is sticking up on it's own, the clamshell itself is probably bent, and will need to be bent back to sit flush.
