fuel problems
I had a fuel smell on the right side front of my 2003 3.2 tip boxster. I removed the battery and cover to reveal fuel on top of the sending unit. There were also cracks on the sending unit cap. I bypassed the fuel controller and pumped the fuel from the tank. I removed the old sending unit. I ordered a new sending unit. When it arrived it was broken. I took the old sending unit and poured a 1/8 inch layer of epoxy on top to seal it. I poured 5 gallons of fuel into the tank. I reinstalled the old unit and bypassed the fuel controller and pumped fuel into a container to insure everything was in order. Put everything back together and it would not crank. I removed the battery and cover and bypassed the fuel controller again only to reveal it was not pumping fuel but pump was running .
Removed fuel pump and ran it in a bucket of fuel and it pumped well. Reassembled again and no fuel pumping out of top of sender.
Thought I had this under control. I need help x2 any ideas would be appreciated
