I am looking at purchasing a 2003 Boxter, base model, it has 80 miles on it. It is at a dealer. When they started it up so I could take it for a test ride, it smoked pretty bad, lasted about 5 seconds, it was a dark smoke, not blue, they said that is because it has been sitting for a couple of weeks. Could that be the case? I did take it for a test drive and when i got back, I shut it off and started it, no smoke, at all. Thanks

Black smoke is fuel. They are likely correct.
