What are realistic hours on this labour

Looking to change out my PASM suspension (06 Cayman S) for Damptronic. Wondering what the hours are for this, as well as if I remove all the trim first and put it back.

As well I need a half shaft replaced (Drivers) what would be the shop hours for this?

Just trying to figure out if it's better to rent/borrow some tools and do it myself then get an alignment.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

crickets.....
Come on I know we have at least one wrench on here

I've got my PSS16's on order from Belgium and got the car out today for a drive after a short winter sleep.

Looking forward to the new suspension, just need to know how much work it is. (and tools)

about 4-6 hours on a Boxster ,add a couple for all the rear trim would be my guess.

I wonder why Wayne has 25 hours on his boxster swap, but that had sways as well.

I haven,t read his swap but I assumed you have already assembled struts and springs like the Row m030 kit. If you are keeping your existing springs etc then it might take a little longer. Just looked at his tech pages and he shows a shock swap for a Boxster at 8 hours .
You are doing similar aren,t you? Not adding sway bars either. Forgot wheel alignment would be needed add an hour or two to my original estimate and you have about 8

Shop quoted me 10 hours including removing and replacing drivers side half shaft. They said they would take a hour off as I've removed all the trim

Word cannot describe the awesomeness!

Suspension arrived from Carnewal (thanks Gert!), now just waiting for drivers side half shaft; not sure why but Porsche said 5 weeks to get it in?....

Anyway new Damptronics ready to go

So driving a Cayenne Diesel loaner today (fun) while my suspension and half shaft go in, get a call from the dealer; both toe links have slop in them (crap). Needless to say with everything unbuttoned it's the time to do them, so I gave them the green (get it) light.

I know it will be better in the end just a pain in my pocketbook.... Can't wait to try the new suspension.
