When replacing the shock absorber on to the wheel carrier, how do you set the height i.e. how far the shock absorber is put though the wheel carrier before tightening the anti roll bar link bolt?

Hi Nick, thank you for your reply. The problem I have is that my nearside tyre has a rim cut in it about an inch wide and quarter an inch deep, to the tyre inner. This has been caused due to the tyre rubbing against the spring carrier. I thought it may have been caused because I had not tightened the anti roll bar link properly. Causing the wheel carrier to move up the shock absorber. I have loosened the bolt and moved the carrier further down the shock absorber so the tyre clears the spring carrier

Can you tell me what else could have caused this problem?
