I recently bought an 04 S w/ 33k on it and I've been noticing a pretty audible thunk coming from the back of the car when pushing the clutch in at low speeds. Do you think a worn out mount could be to blame or is this relatively normal?

I would assume so. Look for dry rot, cracks or signs of movement in the mount.

That thing is hard to get to! A visual might require taking off the whole mount. Let me know how it goes.
