Passenger Door window problem

I was on the button closing the passenger side window and there was a sort of "click-click -click" noise and the window fell back down inside the door.
I managed to get a pair of pliers on the very top of the glass and was able to pull it up.
The window moves freely by hand. Up and down. Its as though its detached from whatever mechanism should be holding it?

Has anyone out there had a similar issue and what should I be particularly looking for before I carefully remove the door membrane?

Oh dear. On inspection there is loose wire cable and the bit in the photo in the bottom of the door. The good news is the window motor is healthy.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1468173064.jpg

Order window regulator , install old motor on it and install. Fixed.
The net has the how-to install just look it up.

New window regulator .I bought a cheap one from ebay and did the pass side just last week. The existing one has also been replaced previously so I expect about 5 yrs out of the replacement. Was quite a bit easier than I expected and window now works perfectly.
