Porsche released an oil pressure update kit for the oil pump on these cars, which consists of a new piston, spring, and crush washer and takes about 5 min. to install. It was designed to help with low RPM oil pressure.

i have the exact same issue. i have been told it could be my pressure relief valve, or something blocking the oil pickup filter. i get 4 bar when cold, and less than 1 bar when warmed up.

do you have the info for the upgrade kit? my boxster is a 1999 base model.

or does anyone have the how-to instructions to replace the oil pressure relief valve? i bought a brand new pump, but cannot find onstructions on how to replace, and would rather return it if o can fix it more cheaplu.
