2005 boxster base. I noticed the strut rubber stops are deteriorating and want to replace them. 1. Will I need any spring compression device to do this and 2. will I have to get the suspension re-aligned?

You will need a spring compressor. If tire wear is Ok, you may be fine without an alignment, but I always suggest one when working on the front or rear suspension. Give The Pelican Parts parts specialists a call at 1-888-280-7799. They can figure out what part or repair kit you need.
