I over filled my oil on my 986 Boxster S. I am due for an oil change. Is it OK to run the car long enough to get it up on the ramps.

Depends on how overfull it is. You should be ok to just get it up. But if the excess oil gets into intake of engine, you may have smoke for a short while until it burns off.
