Spark plug seals on 2002+ engines
Hopefully someone can point me in the correct direction here. From my large amount of research, it seems like most of the how-to articles are geared towards earlier engines.
I was going to replace my spark plugs this weekend, and believed my engine would have the plastic spark plug tubes to replace. It appears I have a later engine in my car, that has the metal / built in spark plug tubes. So I have the seals from the kit I ordered, and I'm wondering if I should do anything with them in regards to replacing them in the engine. It appears that from reading that is difficult, but I just wanted to confirm. In addition, there was a very small amount of oil in the spark plug cylinder of the one plug I pulled this weekend, when I was trying to figure out what was what with regard to spark plug tubes. Should I be concerned about this? The engine has about 40K miles on it. I wrap up, I believe for my engine I just need to jack up and pull the coils, replace plugs, and good to go? No other seals, etc? Thanks!! |
Anyone? Really not sure where to go on this?
