Job Title: Harness Assembler
Location: Guelph, Ontario
About the Company:
Restoration Design Inc. is a unique manufacturing facility specializing in the production and sales of steel body panels for Porsche 911, 914 and 356 models. In addition, we design and manufacture wiring harnesses in house to help customers further the quality and scope of their restoration project. The wiring harnesses are designed and manufactured to match original dimensions and function with the use of modern materials. We are passionate about automotive restoration and value the production of high-quality components.
About the Job:
We are looking for a strong full-time candidate to be a part of the wiring team to assemble wiring harnesses with attention to detail and to hold a high regard for quality workmanship. As a wiring technician you will manufacture wiring harnesses according to company schematics and complete sub-processes required for harness assembly. The candidate will report to the wiring department manager and project manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Eligible candidates will work within a small team and will be trained in wire harness assembly and associated tasks which will include the following:
• wire harness assembly
• wire processing
• wire crimping
• soldering
• injection molding (e.g., over molding electrical connectors)
• quality control
Training will be provided on all tools, machinery, and process equipment.
Skills Requirements:
Candidates are required to understand electrical principals, automotive electrical circuits, and components.
Work within a diverse team.
Assets:
General knowledge of wire crimping
Passion for classic car restoration and/or automotive manufacturing
Ability to learn and apply new skills.
Exposure to and experience with hands on wiring harness assembly, manufacturing, and wiring harness design.
Experience with CAD software (Fusion 360/Solidworks)
Compensation Range:
$20-$25/hr depending on skill and experience.
