Man... That was a nice show....
I got to ride on Viper SRT10, RAM SRT10 and Neon SRT4... I'm glad Chrysler is doing this kind of show and the fact they included Calgary means this is no longer Cowtown but Cowcity ![]() Maybe the rest of the manufacturers will do the same.. Anyway back to my comments about the Viper.. The car was driven by a professional driver and the track was on the west parkade which is maybe smaller than the race city parkade, basically the track was a U shape with a chicane... The Viper goes off the line like hell and you could see the end of the parkade getting closer pretty quickly, bam! second gear.. (a bit faster than a 915 as you can imagine) and the little voice in your head start saying things to you like... "Oh, oh.. your not gonna make it..." then the driver turns the wheel and the car sticks to the floor like it was a just a normal turn but the beast keeps going faster and faster and the road noise is getting louder so when you're heading back you can't help but wonder what are those cones doing there in the middle... noooo... that's a chicane and the driver simply takes a left,right,left... boy.. I thought he was going to loose it cause the car wanted to come around but it was all part of the show... That car is forgiving like nothing else.... The general comment was that everyone liked it better on the Dodge SRT10 !!! Maybe cause you sit higher you 'feel the speed' a lot more... I'm sure some folks had to check their underwear. Great experience for the perfect Saturday.. Does anyone know if Porshe will ever do something like that?? (yeah right.....) Here's the link so you can see what you missed... Try to go next year.. Those new Chrysler are pretty hot, besides how ofter you get to floor a Hemi-300C and Magnum just to test the ESP just for fun? Gold Metal Tour Bye -J
