Anyone at Mosport this last weekend?
I wasn't and didn't get around to dropping by.
Did the fog shut you down? Rod

The first run groups were cancelled Saturday am due to fog. Once we got started, it was super slippery. Stan said it was the slipperiest he had ever felt mosport. I got a little understeer between the 2 apexes in two that scared the living ***** out of me, then a few laps later all 4 wheels locked braking at the bottom of 4. Also scared the hell out of me. Sat. afternoon was beautiful, as was Sunday morning. Sunday lunch saw a bit of rain and a wet track until mid afternoon. I skipped my first run of the afternoon, and with good cause. There were 2 incidents involving concrete walls in the white and blue groups (right before and right after mine). No injuries (not even close) but enough to paralyze at least one of the cars (not sure about the other). Then the track dried and the 2nd half of Sun. afternoon was great - I needed sunglasses.
In 4 events I have yet to have a full 8-run UCR DE at Mosport, all due to weather! Oh yeah, and there was a crash Sat. pm too, again, not serious, just cosmetic, but 3 in 1 event is pretty bad.

Both previous weekends this year were the worse I have ever had there.
I went for 3 years with 2 or 3 weekends of incredible weather. Glad I canceled. Any idea who the cars were? Rod

No, I didn't know any of the drivers. They were a red 993 with a big RSR wing, a black 993 turbo (IIRC) and a black 944 turbo. The 944 turbo was the only one I saw - oversteer crossing the dry line (wet track) coming out of turn 10 and the back left hit the wall. It pinched one of the plastic Castrol signs in between the tire and the rim and munched up the body work pretty bad. I really hate seeing these cars banged up!

Heh, maybe from the towing company!
At least the 2 993s would've been able to keep driving, I think.
