Insurnace company is going to screw me....
Have just been informed by TD that my 89 cab is a write-off. However, they also informed me that my compensation will be the LESSER of appraised and market value. I indicated that I purchased the insurance with the assurance that it paided out on appraised value and thats why i got the appraisal that they insisted on. Otherwise why would i get it?? Not many 89 cabs to price out there. Can just feel the bat going up my a**

How can they offer you less than market? What's their idea of market? How long ago was your appraisal done?

The appraisal was done 1 month ago. Their view of market may not be appraised value presumably but this is all a mystery to me

Stick to your guns man. Check out page 24 of the January issue of Provinz magazine. Alon Gat wrote an article detailing his hardship with his insurance co.
That will get you started in your battle. If you don't have the magazine, you can have my copy if you want to pick it up from the High Park area.
