West Kootneay Tour, BC - July 14 and 15
PCA - Canada West is hosting the following tour from the Vancouver area.
This trip covers approximately 1600 kms over 2 days. Please note – because of the distance, this trip is focused on driving. We will be making rest and gas stops as needed. Starting point will be Tim Horton’s, Sumas Way and McConnell, Abbotsford. Our eastern Fraser Valley and Washington friends will meet us here. We will be leaving this location at 7:00 AM heading east on Hwy 1. The basic route on Saturday will be: Hwy 1 to Hope Hwy 3 to Princeton Hwy 5A to Aspen Grove Hwy 97C to Peachland Hwy 97 to Vernon Hwy 6 to Nakusp Hwy 6 to Nelson Estimated time of arrival in Nelson is between 7:00 and 8:00 PM – depending on the number of stops along the way. I have a block of rooms reserved at The Prestige Lakeview Inn in Nelson. http://prestigeinn.com/nelson-lakeview-prestige-hotel.php Please book your room directly with the hotel at 1-877-737-8443. Tell them you are with the Canada West Porsche Club for the discount. $119 for lake view and $129 with a balcony. These rooms are blocked at this price until June 30. Meal stops will be determined along the way. Group decision here. We will be leaving Nelson at 7:30 AM Sunday. The return trip is a little longer and the planned route is: Hwy 3A and 31 to Kaslo Hwy 31A to New Denver Hwy 6 to Nakusp Hwy 6 to Vernon Hwy 97 to Penticton Hwy 3A and 3 to Princeton Hwy 3 to Hope Hwy 1 to Abbotsford Estimated time of arrival in Abbotsford is between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. Again, this depends on the number and duration of stops. Hope to see you there!!

You changed the tour. In your print-out, it says Hwy 3 from Princeton to Keremeos, then Hwy 3A to Penticton/Kelowna............... Your post above has a different route from Princeton on Hwy 5A and then Hwy 97C to Kelowna. Which is correct??? Is your starting time 7:00 or 7:30??? Let me know. Cheers, Gunter
