Hoping to get a run in...

Well, here's what I'm thinking...

Sunday and Monday they are predicting positive temperatures and rain...then tuesday 11C and no rain...so if it rains hard enough for two days....maybe, just maybe by the afternoon the roads will be clean and dry enough to pull my mistress out and go for a blast? Definetely my dream right now, besides, she still needs her tank topped up and a quick clean would help too. Fingers crossed...

You sound like someone who needs a Porsche fix... Go for it! But be careful if the temperature is low because your tires will never warm up enough to do crazy 90 degree turns.

Do I ever. I agree, it won't be ideal, but just to get her out there again, to hear her sing past 4000rpm, I will be a happy man. Sounds like we will have warm weather all week, so fingers crossed. I do envy all the modern 911 drivers who can drive their steeds through the snow. I swear I see more 996TT's in the snow then any other...

As soon as the rain hits I am going driving. No biggy really, as long as there is no wet-salt I am out in the roads.

Well, it worked out. Driving home today, I noticed the roads were dry, and atleast the main roads were nicely swept clean of grit and salt by all the traffic, so out came my mistress...it was fantastic. She was a little reluctant to awaken from her slumber, but once running, she was just as fantastic as I remember her. I'm always amazed that I found a car so perfect for what I wanted, a very powerful go-kart. Spent a couple of hours just zipping around, took a buddy for a run. Mostly kept it conservative, but the rush when I did get on the loud pedal will stay with me for a few days. If this global warming works out, I'll be enjoying more runs like this. Can't wait for the next one.

You should have come by the go-kart place! Would've loved a quick ride around the parking lot, if only just to tide me over for a few months!
