GTA Winter Go Kart Racing... anyone?

I am setting up a friendly Go Kart Race event at Grandprix Kartways in Toronto on Wednesday January 9th at 7:00 pm. We already have at least 12 drivers signed up so I am in the process of booking this date and time.

You can see other Threads on this event at:
http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=399044

and at

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1894332

If your interested, please post a positive reply on this thread and I will add you to the Drivers List.

GPK welcomes groups of smaller sizes without track exclusivity, with other groups racing in between your sessions. A minimum of 12 guests
are required, and championship trophies are NOT included.

Grand Prix Package ($69 per person + gst) includes 3 races per guest, with 8 lap practice session,
12 lap qualifying race, and 16 lap championship or class final. Requires approximately 1 hour to complete for groups of 12 to 24 guests.

Directions and other info here:
http://www.gpkartways.com/location_map.html

Chances the night will go fast, but there is a realistic chance of us doing a togeather afterwards for drinks and a few laughs.

Let me know what you think of the place. We went one evening, loved the torque from the electric motors, but the seats and belts sucked, you end up sliding out of them. Plus, they have a remote motor cutout that they say they use to punish those who bump, but it seemed to me that they had itchy trigger fingers, because the cars would cut for no reason, either that or they had electrical problems.

I haven't driven there as of yet but thanks for the input.

Do you want to attend, it should be a fun night?

Yeah, and please ask Richard to bring the 911 Engine rebuilding book, so that we can use it to remove Christien's motor in the spring.

Sorry James, Rich is still in SE asia, presumably he will come back one day, but I wouldn't expect on seeing him for another couple of months...

Chris and James, are you guys going on the 9th? I think I can make it out, but I need to confirm something with a buddy first. I didn't really intend to go back to GPK again, but I am willing to give it another try. My favourite track is Formula Kartways at 410 and Steeles, I will be planning something for late January or early February, you guys - you too Mark - are welcome to come out there when we set a date.

I think I'm going. I'll have to check the Rennlist site again to see if I'm confirmed. It should be a blast.

How is your car running? I haven't seen you since the Fun Run...

Yep, I'm going. I need something more real than video games to fix the track withdrawal!

Pencil me in for whatever you book later in January or in February. If I'm free, I'll come for sure.

Both Christien and Peritus are confirmed and are listed on the Drivers List on the RennList Site.

Komenda Fan, should I add you as well? Thanks for the invite, much appreciated. I am usually up for any Karting event(s) let me know the dates and times and if there aren't any conflicts I'll be there. If we make the distinction between driving and racing... I prefer the racing.
