Changing US Speedo to Km/h
Has anyone changed out their US speedo in an imported car to metric (km/h) speedo?
Are their OEM speedo overlays available? I'm considering importing a 997 (2006-2007) in the spring |

A 997 speedo is electronic (started with the 996), all you need to do is turn the control know and hold it like for 5 seconds, then everything is metric.

I was refering to the analog speedo - has anyone change it or the overlay (if available)?
I have read the archives and changing the digital speedo is a quick fix, but was also thinking of changing the entire speedo (analog part) to km/h |

Driving my '74 in MPH use to bug the crap outa me too; I'd see a cop and wouldn't know in a split second if my speed was OK or not with all the differing speed zones we have in my area.
I looked into an overlay and couldn't find one. There are a number of speedo shops that do the swap and its easy to do too. You can likely search on the 911 Tech forum and find info on who/what/where? FYI, Cheers |
