New member and importing updates?
 

I'm a new member and have read the threads on importing Porsche's from the US into Canada. I'm interested in bringing a '07 997TT from the US to Alberta. Are there any updates from those who have recently done this (given all the concern from Porsche with the flood of US cars being brought to Canada recently)?

Is warranty, including extended, after you import? This for private individual use.

I'm concerned about how I can get the "French supplementary restraint system label for airbags that require periodic maintenance". Any info?
And the requirement for the electronic immobilizer, don't 2007 US Porsches come with this?

Lastly, does anyone have any experience with transporters, such as TFX? It seems using them could save me State tax (8%) and some of the customs hassles.

Lastly, thanks to Christien who started an earlier thread and the other contributers - it encouraged me to go this route, or at least check it out seriously (I'll pass on my experiences as they unfold)! The Arizona dealer claims they will assist me with some of the process.
