Calgary Tire Repair..
Picked up a nail in one tire. Is there a good tire shop in Cowtown that won't fuch up my wheel while doing the repair?
Is it still better to go with a patch repair? Tires are Exalto PE2s and they are in good shape... (except for the nail!)

I'm sure that either Concept-1 or Tunerworks could handle it with care.

Thanks!
I didn't know that concept had a shop. I was under the impression that they sold mostly watercooled VW stuff..

Just did a quick search on Urban Expressions and it looks like they handle a lot of aftermarket wheels so it sounds like they may be a good choice..

The owner of Concept-1 is a Porsche owner (356 and 997S) and Tunerworks does a lot of high end stuff (does a friend's Ferrari tires). Sounds like you've got your bases covered at any rate!

Why not just fix it yourself?
I've done at least 20 tires with the 'push-in rubber rope' and never had one fail. A $5 kit does about ten repairs. |

Good news for me, it was a very short screw and it was diagonal through the tread. Leak checked the area with the screw in and out and no bubbles!
When I was in high school and through college and tech I worked in gas stations and shops and I fixed a lot of tires. Plugs were a good short term repair, but shifting belts would sometime sever them and they would leak again. Back in the day, patches were the way to go, but after 27 years, I wondered if things had changed. It isn't a bad idea to carry a plug kit in your car, they will get you home in a pinch! Thanks all!!!

Great thing about Urban Expressions is that they use some of the industry's best tire equipment. They have the state of the art Hunter Roadforce GSP9700 and Corghi Artiglio Master machine for mounting and balancing (can do road force balancing).
