Brad Penn Oil in Calgary

Alright, after talking to 3 distributors and two Oil Companies, I found that we can get Brad Penn right here in Calgary.

Classic Performance stocks it, and I spoke to Carmine there and they can always order more
They currently have 20/50, 10/30, and others. It is the Racing grade partial synthetic. I asked him about the non-dino component and he said they haven't had any gasket leaking issues on their old big iron cars.

They are open on "some" Saturdays so call first, otherwise 9-6 weekdays.

Cheers

41 pages of discussion (and counting) later ... there appears to be a bias towards Brad Penn. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=367300

I just filled up with Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel 5W40, with higher Zn, but will be switching to BP as soon as I can find some in Vancouver.

Okay 21 pages of interesting reading that is way over my head at this time... not fun.
If the agreement was to use Brad Penn by the people who understand that stuff.. I'm with them. I'll use the stuff especially if it's easily available.. and 40th Ave not far from here.. so it's good.

Gaspar,

You have a newer 911, so if the manual says Mobil 1 then go for it. It's us old guys and our old cars that need the extra zinc and phos. to keep the lifters, cam, etc lubed.

Picked up two cases of 20-50 from these guys, they seem like pretty decent people.
Not cheap, but cheaper than the synthetic I was running.
The fella behind the counter said they have lots of it.

Hi,

I picked up another 2 cases today $180.00 Ouch!, but they said they will give us club members 10% off of 2 cases or more.

Tim, I asked about Edmonton, and they ship there all the time. They have two Greyhound pickups a day so they just send them via Greyhound. If interested give them a call and they could ship some to you.

Perfect. Thanks Bob. A couple of cases should last me a while.
