RIP Hima Maher

I didn't know him but I recall him being a highly regarding shop owner in Calgary and porsche race car driver. Sad he left behind a wife and two daughters.

This is such a tragic loss. I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. I talked to him last Monday when I picked up my car. He is a great guy.

I offer my deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Hima.

This is a tragic loss. I was shocked when I heard it on the Radio this morning. He will be missed (esp. at the track).

Oh no!

I didn't know Hima very well, but when I was in Calgary he let me dig though all his old parts looking for anything that I might need. He didn't know me from a hole in the ground, but said he'd give me a lift wherever I needed so my wife could take off and not have to stand around waiting for me. Any time we were in the area he'd stop whatever he was working on and take the time to answer questions and show me what he was working on.

A good guy :(

Met him briefly last fall. He took my car out for a test drive(to diagnose a noise-tires). Showed me around his shop and talked of future expansion. He didn"t know me from adam-I had no appointment and had walked in off the street. Great loss.

Very very sad, I just found out today.

Hima was a very nice guy to those who met him, and very passionate about life and racing. He always had a smile and hearty handshake for everyone, and would go out of his way to help another person.

I've known Hima for many years and will always remember him as a down to Earth guy that loved to talk about and show people his passion in racing. I will miss the coaching at Race City, the talks about any little air-cooled issue, and learning about what it's like to drive in a "real Porsche".

The racing community has lost a gentleman driver, from all of us in the community to the Maher family our deepest sympathies.

Wow - what a shocker... I was just speaking with Hima over the phone last week after he did a local PPI for me. I never actually got a chance to meet him in person but the few times I spoke with him on the phone he came across as a very professional, credible, and honest individual.

My sincere condolences to both his family and the Dave' family.
