Wheel refinishing in Vancouver

Anybodyhad any experience with Green's Automotive in Richond? I have some BBSs that could use some work. Any other recommendations?

I was going to get mine done as well, and Green's was recommended by 3 people I trust implicitly.

I'd also give Stuart from Weissach a call... he recommended someone to me, and showed me some of their finished work, and it was awesome. (They redid a set of Ruf wheels). I just can't remember who it was off hand.

I just had my fuchs polished at Panther Precision Machine Ltd. in Surrey. It took a little while (1 full week), but they came out looking AWESOME. Cost about $800. They were working on a lot of Porshe wheels when I was in there.

$800 seemed a bit steep to me, but they also "straitened" the weels. I don't know it that was a line or not but he sold me...

I've had a few wheels done at Green's and was very satisified.

Last weekend at the Historics in Mission I met a guy who took an early deep 6 Fuchs to Panther, and out of their ignorance they ruined his wheel.

I've also been in Panther's shop. Very little equipment. Green's is very well equipped. You should see the giant collet they have for holding wheels on their CNC lathe.
Talk to Bob Green, or Brad Green.

I don't live in Vancouver but I thought I'd add a comment to compare markets. I also paid about $800 to have 4 Fuchs polished at a shop in Edmonton. They also had some minor straightening to do on one wheel.

Nu-Brite (Port Kells) did my 7's and 8's including a repair. They came out great.

Do any of these shops do anodizing? Everyone seems to do polishing, but no one will touch anodizing.

Panther does.
First they strip the paint, then they send it out for anodizing, then Panther repaints.
Be prepaired that the re-anodizing comes out a little less shiny than the original.
And yes, forged wheels can be straightened if they have a wobble; it's part of the process and Panther does it.
To get a quote, it's best to take the wheels in Person, I usually talked with Keith? (No affililiation)

Spectral has done work for me before. They did a great job. I got Nu-Brite to polish and Panther to anodize. Panther also uses Spectral which is housed in the same industrial complex.

FYI, this is a REALLY old thread, and was only brought back to life by that single-post Shinez guy trying to post info about his business.

HA! I didn't even notice that. I don't like shiny wheels, I want to get mine done in a rough RSR anodizing, but the difficulty in finding someone who knows what they're doing leads me to think I'll be doing the Bob Tilton Scotchbrite finish.

There is a shop located either in Okotoks or Highriver who does general industrial anodizing. I suspect if you were to call any machine shop in the Calgary yellow pages they will know the name. If not, let me know and I'll get the name.

Someone had told me about a place called Alanco (???) once upon a time. Maybe it's the same place.
