Montreal shop recommendation?

Dad just had his '86 Carrera cab delivered, and is going through the process of getting it inspected.

There were a few lights that weren't working. Two were just bulbs, but the driver's side front turn signal is not getting any juice. I know the PO had similar issues, and it turned out to be a diode.

Dad's got the car at his Mercedes shop, and they've got 4 hours in on it. Now the mechanic is talking about "bypassing" circuits to get it to pass inspection. I told dad to get the car out of there.

Can someone recommend a good Montreal Porsche shop?

Unicorn Motorsports in Lachine...10310 Cote-de-Liesse, 514-631-4244. I ran into mechanicals at Mont-Tremblant, and Barry Gingrich was fantastic to deal with.

There is a great shop on the bottom of Melrose St. in NDG. I think it's called Campbel's. I grew up on that street, they've been there a long time and probably had something to do with my obsession with 911s.

Thanks for the recommendation; that's the second or third for Campbell's.

I agree with you that Campbell is a good garage. Just had him do some work on the car-great service and professional.

Porsche Crest Stealing Thread...

+1 for Campbell (make that 4th)

Ok you Montrealais, ever seen my car around Montreal? I think it was converted there around Litte Italy quartier.

It used to have an Italian Flag on the rear right bumper, the steering wheel & shifter are Nardi and the stereo was installed by a shop on Jean-Talon street.

Merci

J.J.
