Don IMHO I will take a twisty back road over any autoX anytime . There is a lot of good roads in BC to play in ( I`m not talking public hwys at high speeds either ) . This past Sunday me and some of the boys left at 5 am and did close to 1k km . That is a bit more then 3 minutes of seat time you would get at a auto X .
Did you not enjoy the short run you did at the CanAM ? Btw you have nice car . Cheers Guy |

thanks Guy. I did about 700 km alltogether on the can-am and loved it. but. it's a completely different feeling to go flat out, even on an autocross, with no worries about other traffic, cops, etc.
I'm also really trying to explore the limits of this car and doing that in an uncontrolled environment is just too dangerous. a couple of weekends ago a bunch of us did a run from penticton to keremeous to princeton to aspen grove to peachland. huge fun, the road from princeton to aspen grove was spectacular. but I couldn't push it right to the limit, for obvious reasons. I very much enjoy country drives but I'll always take any opportunity to drive in a controlled off-road venue. we don't have a track nearby so I'll have to take what I can get. autocrossing is a good stepping stone if you want to eventually go racing one day.

true Bruce. but as you know, we're somewhat challenged geographically here, racetrack-wise. I find it hard to get away for a day, let alone a whole weekend to get to a real track. I'd like to take a driver's ed course first, because to be perfectly honest, I haven't a clue how to drive properly.
