go to wail tail hes a cool guy the guy at nine apart is a ass

JJ 911SC 07-23-2010 02:12 PM

Thats is why...

... I buy close to everything in the US.

Drive 1 hour to the UPS store in Ogdensburg. The 27 Cents a liter difference pay for the trip.

For the best deal on everything (tool, BP Oil, computer you name it) check Amazon.com :) Do not have stuff cross the border with UPS or you'll find out about there rip off brokerage fee

I always get quoted outrageous prices from nineapart. Drove there once and left empty handed. Randy at wail tail is a real good guy to deal with.

Nine-apart/Porsch-a-part has long been a source of frustration, wrong parts, high prices and general run-around. I needed a new headlight for a boxster, didn't even hesitate to call and order from Parts Heaven, 5000km away, rather than drive an hour or 2 to Nine-apart. I swore off them years ago.

B-Man100 08-14-2010 11:29 AM

Nine-a-part is a rip off. I went there a few times and I was like " you want what... FOR THAT?!" don't GO there. Frank is a twit. smooth talking but full of ****.

Christien 08-14-2010 12:44 PM

Smooth talking? Last time I dealt with him he was an *******.

JJ 911SC 08-14-2010 06:17 PM

Yeaper...

Every thing that I was looking for was either $40 or $200... which was over price by just about... 1,000 %

JJ 911SC 08-14-2010 06:22 PM

Really...

But remember, we are sooooo lucky to be shopping in Canada.

Hey, wait a minute, I don't shop in Canada for car/motorcycle parts and accessories.

I remember wanting to buy a leather Sinisalo motorcycle suit up here...

Me: how much.
Dealer: $600.
Me: that is list price...how much.
Dealer: $600.
Me: see you.

Bought it in the US for $350.

When will business up here ever learn.

JJ 911SC 08-15-2010 04:17 AM

For sure...

I didn't even waste my gas driving to Nine Apart.............Frank is effing brutal. I bought a dash in the US, shipped it and had it recovered in leather, and had it delivered at my door for half what Frank wanted for a used vinyl one....

911cabby 08-16-2010 06:44 AM

Thanks for the heads-up....was planning on stopping in to check it out today on my lunch!

advantagedent 08-16-2010 08:02 AM

Trou du cul, gotta remember that one... :D

I've spoke with Frank a couple of times, I never thought it was worth my time to drive out there.
My buddy had an old wore out yellow tag dizzy, Frank was insistent that he toss that junk into his scrap bin. I got my buddy a tad better price than "scrap" for it.

To me he's working with pre-internet mentality.

1990C4S 08-22-2010 08:46 AM

Me: Can you sell a shell and VIN to me.
Frank: Sure, I sell them all the time.
Me: How much?
Frank: A lot. You can't afford it.

That was after he sold me valves with undersized stems and a flasher relay with a cracked PCB inside it.

Never. Ever. Again. He's a moron.

JJ 911SC 08-22-2010 04:55 PM

Maybe it's time for...

... Frank to meet,
