Nope - you need a 915 transaxle for the SC. What is wrong with yours? I have some 915 parts that may help out.
Regards,
Andrew M

driving along, , clutch cable and e back cable snapped, wrapped around the drivers rear axel, ripped it right off, , dont know the extent of the dammage yet, havnt had the time to fix, it leaked abit of fluid, not sure what it is, need cables, axels, should replace both a guess, not sure if it is a easy fix, or need to replace tranny as well. tranny in past jumped out of 1st alot, but always seemed very strong in rest of gears
was thingking of holding a WWR BBQ to see if anyone was interested in helping me repair.

I have a set of axles from an 84 or 85 Carrera that I had bought from Andrew that I didn't end up needing. So if Andrew doesn't have any, I have a set.

Cheers,
Keith

I have a brand new clutch cable. It's my spare for the 1972 911. If it fit's you can borrow it.

The axles Keith has would probably work for you (I think they are an 84 axle - same as your 79).
The clutch cable changed a number of times and I think you need a different one than the 72 version that Fritz has - nice offer though!
