Considering auction '86 928

Im going to take a look at this car this week before it goes for auction on saturday.

I have a 944s in the uk but this will be my first 928 experience, now i live in Canada i miss the tinkering around the garage. Ive done quite a bit of research over the yrs but not jumped in.

Any advice much appreciated, thrust bearing, how can i look for a failing one?
