Question for moderator - cstreit

I want to check & see if it is OK to post a 'WTB' on this forum. I would like to test the local used parts market before posting in the main classifieds section.

Thanks & Cheers
JB

It is done here all the time.
I personally don't have a problem with it (but I don't really matter!)
Many people want to save shipping and brokerage fees for parts coming across the border.
Cheers!
BK

I will often try 'in-country' first. both selling and buying.

I'd rather deal in Canada. Save duty & taxes.

You could post on the Used Part Forum and do a Post here stating that you would prefer locally and have a link the your posting on Used Part Forum.

As haycait911 knows Post Canada could be a deal killer. The engine mount was about $22 from Ont to BC.

For selling stuff, I usually have 3 prices; Local, US Lower 48's (using US Priority Flat Rate) and rest of Canada (using out of this world rate)

Right now I'm selling a Jack Post. $5 shipping from NY to anywhere in Lower 48's, $11 shipping from Ottawa to Montreal.

WTB and 'for sale' ads have been tolerated on the subforums such as canada, NWpacific, etc. These sub's don't see a ton of posts so it gives us Canadians something to look at :)
