Finaly Canada got its own GT3 Challenge Cup Race

It was a bit wet...

This was organized in a very short notice so a lot of team had prior commitment but it will grow.

This year we have 3 Races. Calabogie, Mirabel and Mosport wich will combine US and Canadian driver.

Despite the bad weather it was a great week-end.

For PCA members, the VIP pass @ $50 is a great deal. 3 days of food/drink from 0800 to 1600 hrs, Porsche Coral Parking, Nice facility to watch the race from, meet the drivers and executive of Porsche Canada.

I will miss the one in Montreal as I'm going to the F1 Race week-end (Thursday to Sunday Gold Pass) and I need time to put my car back together if I want to drive it to Mosport July race.

There was only 6 cars for this one but they will be more cars for the next two races (and according to Joe, Porsche Canada CEO, more races next year) including our own fellow Pelican, Jeff Grant; Bullet Racing Racing Team Manager, Driver, and Barista aka Tim Horton runner

Yes, we should be at the next three races with Bullet Racing, but it is hard to justify the logistics when you are travelling across the continent to race in a 6 car race.................

I did discussed that with the IMSA rep at Thursday reception as weel with Joe on Sunday. I will talk to Janes (from Calabogie Motorsport) as I think that the promotion and sale of tickets for next year race need to start next week.

Given the rather short time to put the 20th Series together we could not relly expect to see double digit starting grid.

I'll take a while guess that the one in Mirabel will be in the double digit as Quebec seem to have a disproportional GT3 ownership population wise.

Anyway it can only get better.

I hope turnout improves.... Pretty disappointed so far with the whole thing. I realize this is the first year for a new series, but not the first year for IMSA byany stretch...... if you get my drift..... Oh well, I am sure it will improve.
