Insurance up a bunch
Got my bill from Lant (Silver Wheels in Ontario) for my 86 Targa. The premium is up 25%, with no claims or increase in value. I gave them a call and the rep was a little unsure why my rates went up so much, must be the car she said. As I remember, Silver Wheels rates are purely on value, so much per thousand for the appraised value. Anyone else seeing this kind of increase in their rates? Thanks

Maybe your valuation went up in the process. This still seems very reasonable to my. My experience has been roughly 10 bucks per 1K of value, so you are in the ballpark.

You are getting free insurance, Dave.
What Ontarians should be fighting is the multiple times they pay Accident Premiums when insuring multiple vehicles. You can only collect once, yet you pay multiple premiums...sounds like fraud/theft to me. |

For what coverages?
Sure, if I enter a value of $3000 for Vehicle Value. Last edited by Traveller; 03-27-2014 at 07:12 PM.. |
