Valve guide replacement/machine shop north of Toronto
I have one motor apart and will be doing another soon, but I havent used a machine shop since moving to King City. Anyone know of a a reputable shop to be trusted with a few sets of heads for valve guide replacements?
I'd like to find something in the King City/Shomberg/Aurora/Newmarket area. Thanks

You could ask Ian @Hockley Motorsports.

I would suggest expand your search area.

I tried Hockley, they were kind enough to let me know their machine shop is all the way up Simcoe lake, more than an hour away.
Mark, I'd try you next but you're also 1.5 hours away from me... John

No problem.
Just an FYI I'm in Oshawa, just off the 401hwy, 3 nights per week if anyone needed to arrange a drop-off or pick-up. I'll add this to my info.

John, I used Brent Cross in Milton for a lot of my machine work. I would highly recommend him. He was associated with Whaletail in Waterloo but is on his own I believe but mostly focuses on Harley work which is his real passion. He may consider doing Porsche work if he isn't too busy. Tell him Joe with the 73 Targa recommended him. I believe his shop is called Bronco's and is on Main st in Milton. Great guy and does first rate work
Regards, Joe |

There is a machine shop I believe south of Barrie I think called Motex? Owner is Bill. Don't have a number at this time but will try for one over the weekend.
