Valuation - How do you decide?
At the end of every year, I take a look at Hagerty Canada for a value of my car. I insure through Hagerty, with agreed value. When I bought the 89 coupe, it was a former club racer, and I am (slowly) bringing it back to street. It is pretty much ready for licensing. I am calling it a solid 4 by Hagerty ratings - and am raising agreed value to the current $32,800 plus $1500 for Anniversary edition. My eventual goal is to bring it up to a 3 (new paint, repair all the dings etc.
My question - How do you go about valuing your car for insurance? It seems to me Hagerty Canada numbers are just US numbers with the exchange rate added. Anyone doing this another way? Thanks
